INTERNAL MEDICINE & DIAGNOSTICS

Internal Medicine & Diagnostics

Thorough care, expert insight, right here at Nowra and Bay & Basin.

When your pet isn’t feeling their best, it’s often the small signs that matter most. That’s why our veterinary team takes the time to listen to you and to them combining careful history taking with a detailed physical exam to help get to the root of the issue.

From mystery symptoms to complex conditions, we’re equipped with the tools, expertise and team support to manage a wide range of medical concerns in-house including advanced diagnostics such as CT scanning.

MEDICAL EXPERIENCE YOU CAN TRUST

Our vets are no strangers to complicated cases, from unexplained weight loss or coughing to more chronic issues such as arthritis, endocrine conditions, gastrointestinal concerns, and organ disease.

We work closely with you to understand your pet’s full story, and use evidence based medicine to guide treatment decisions.

And because of our size and experience, a second, third or fourth opinion is never far away. Our vets collaborate regularly to ensure we’re providing the most informed care possible.

ON-SITE DIAGNOSTIC CAPABILITIES

We’re fortunate to have a wide range of diagnostic tools available in-clinic, so we can act quickly when answers are needed:

  • In-house blood testing - rapid results for organ function, infections, anaemia, and more
  • In-house urine testing - detailed in-house urinalysis, an invaluable aid to identifying urinary tract problems
  • Cytology - analysis of lumps, skin scrapings, ear swabs, and urine
  • Digital radiography (X-rays) - fast, clear imaging for bones, chest and abdomen
  • Ultrasound - non-invasive internal imaging, especially helpful for soft tissue and abdominal organs
  • CT Scanning (Nowra only) - advanced 3D imaging for more detailed views of bones, joints, head, spine and internal organs
  • Endoscopy - for selected cases requiring internal examination without invasive surgery
  • On-site veterinary pathologist - providing additional insight into complex cases

This suite of tools means we can often diagnose and begin treatment within the same day, reducing stress for both pets and their people.
