OUR SURGICAL SERVICES

We perform a wide range of surgical procedures for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and more:

  • Routine desexing - dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets
  • Lump removals - including analysis where required
  • Wound management & stitch-ups - fast, effective treatment for injuries
  • Major abdominal surgery - e.g. foreign body removal, spleen removal, bladder surgery
  • Orthopaedic surgery - cruciate ligament repairs, luxating patella, femoral head osteotomy (FHO), fracture repair, amputation
  • Eye (ophthalmic) surgery - for conditions such as cherry eye, entropion and eyelid growths
  • Dentistry - including dental scale and polish, extractions and treatment of dental disease

WHAT TO EXPECT ON SURGERY DAY

We’ll support you and your pet every step of the way.

Pre-surgery Consultation & Preparation

  • We’ll examine your pet and review their medical history
  • You’ll receive clear pre-operative instructions, including fasting times
  • Blood testing may be recommended for some pets, particularly seniors

Safe Anaesthesia & Professional Monitoring

  • We use high quality anaesthetic protocols tailored to your pet’s age, species, and health status
  • Your pet will be carefully monitored by a qualified veterinary nurse throughout the procedure
  • Monitoring includes heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, and oxygen levels to ensure your pet’s safety

Recovery & Aftercare

  • Your pet will be kept comfortable and observed closely as they wake up
  • You’ll be provided with a clear discharge plan, including:
     
    • Pain relief and medication instructions
    • Activity restrictions (e.g. crate rest, no jumping)
    • Wound care advice and post-op checkup times
